The following hotels are in the North of Munich, close to the local transport system as well as to the city centre. Please note that the organized bus transport is only available from these recommended hotels. The bus will pick up and drop participants on Wednesday, 3 February in the afternoon as well as on Thursday, 4 February 2010 in the morning and late afternoon.

  • Access by Car / Taxi

From main station Munich by Taxi or car via Autobahn Deggendorf-München, direction Stuttgart, exit Neuherberg, 30 min to the Helmholtz-Zentrum München (about 50 €).

  • Access by Public Transport

From Franz-Joseph-Strauß Airport Munich with S-Bahn Lines
S1 or S8.

  • S-Bahn S1 to stop “Feldmoching”, with taxi or Metro U2 to station “Am Hart”. From there bus 294, direction Garching-Hochbrück, (bus runs every 20 min – but only hourly between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.) to station “Neuherberg, Forschungszentrum”, or
  • S-Bahn S8 to central station “Hauptbahnhof”, from there U2 to station “Am Hart”, then bus 294 like above.

Note: Since bus 294 runs only hourly between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., it might be easier to take a taxi from “Feldmoching” to the Helmholtz-Zentrum München.

  • Organized Bus

Wednesday afternoon as well as on Thursday morning and late afternoon, participants will be picked-up and transported by bus to the Seminar, the recommended hotels or airport line.

  • Parking and Access by Car

Cars are to be parked at the parking lot right at the entry gate of the research centre in front of the entrance building. For exhibitors there is a temporary access to the research centre after signing up at the entry gate.
