ARTEMIS JU (Joint Undertaking) - Embedded systems

The vision of ARTEMIS is that embedded systems will realise the dream of ambient intelligence. In which intelligent support for people will be embedded in everyday objects. Large-scale application will increase our quality of life. The result will be to help make life healthier and more secure. And to provide more comfort for Europe's ageing population.
Artemis aims to help European industry consolidate and reinforce its world leadership in embedded computing technologies. The economic impact in terms of jobs and growth is expected to exceed €100 billion over ten years.
The draft annual working programme 2010 has just been published. The subprogramme 2 focuses on the healthcare systems. It aims to establish an overall system approach for healthcare based on an integrated system concept of seamless integration of interoperable components (both devices and services). This will support personalized prevention and treatment strategies by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by new technology.
It is a good opportunity for you, Alps Bio Cluster actors of "Autonomy and Healthcare" network to build collaborative projects.
