Objectives
- Enhance local biotechs and healthcare development potentialities throughout transnational opportunities by creation of a meta cluster: Alps Bio Cluster
- Foster stable cooperation between R&D centres and start-ups as well as SMEs on a transalpine scale by implementing thematic networks federating critical size resources (academic, industrial and training)
- Create appropriate environment to support the European and international development of SME’s by boosting cooperative innovation process in the Alpine Space
- Build a global and competitive identity and promote the brand « Alpine » for the environmental biotech and healthcare sector
- Promotion the visibility of the transalpine bio-cluster, increase
the portofolio of innovation and patents of R&D centres and SME’s
inside and outside the Alpine region.
Cooperation is a mean to improve
innovation and to link scientific results to existing industrial
technologies. Finding complementary partner for SME’s is a success key
to have a better access to market with a more integrated technology
offer and to share the funding of more and more expensive r&d
projects in this economic sector.
Cooperation is the best way to prevent from relocation of r&d
activities or international acquisitions of promising biotech or
healthcare SME’s which are already the major trends in our
region.
The creation of a transnational bio cluster will improve policy co
ordination (benchmark of experiences and best practices) in a field
where the innovation process and the access to international
cooperation have to be accompanied and stimulated by public agencies in
order to produce economic development for the Alpine territory.
